# Singapore opens voluntary accreditation for traditional Chinese medicine

Singapore’s Health Ministry said traditional Chinese medicine service providers and practitioners could apply for voluntary accreditation from October 17. The programme has two tracks, covering services and individual practitioners, and will be implemented by the Academy of Chinese Medicine, Singapore.

The ministry also plans a second TCM Integrative Sandbox call from November 3, 2026 to November 2, 2029 to evaluate integrated care in public hospitals. Seven projects selected from the first call in 2025 remain in progress. The research aims to assess patient outcomes and cost effectiveness; the announcement provides no completed findings establishing treatment efficacy.
