# ShaMaran says extra SOMO cargo will start oil-sale top-up payments

ShaMaran Petroleum, which operates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, said on 15 October it understood that Iraq’s State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO) had allocated an additional cargo to international oil companies under its October 2026 lifting programme. The company said the extra lifting was intended to compensate them at full international prices under interim tripartite export agreements.

ShaMaran said the cargo would start payment of top-up receivables accrued on export sales from September through December 2025. Its release did not state the cargo volume or a definite date for completing payments. The account is based on ShaMaran’s statement and should not be read as an independent SOMO announcement.
