More than 6,500 linear metres of bridge-joint work had been completed. The RGA said asphalt-joint works were 99.5% complete and mechanical joints with 100–200 mm movement ranges were complete. Mechanical joints with 50–100 mm ranges had reached 87.2%; those below 50 mm were more than 20% complete, with 938 metres still under construction.
