Rocket One signed a sponsored research agreement with Virginia Commonwealth University to advance SKYMRAM, a skyrmion-based magnetic-memory concept. The one-year program is scheduled to begin November 1, 2026, covering nanoscale fabrication, materials optimization and device-level testing.

The proof-of-concept goal is to demonstrate switching of SKYMRAM’s soft magnetic layer. Northwestern University will support thin-film growth and materials characterization through a subaward. The announcement does not establish an integrated chip, commercial product or validated system-level performance.

## Data

### The university program will test a proposed magnetic-memory device; no commercial chip was announced.

This is early-stage research; no integrated device or validated performance was announced.

Methodology: This event record summarizes the primary announcement; it is not independent verification of product performance.
