The Nuclear Company announced on 21 October its proposed Prosperity One nuclear campus along the Ohio River in Lewis County, Kentucky. The development could accommodate up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors with approximately 6.6 GW of capacity; it is not an operating power plant.

The company aims to undertake site development and obtain federal approvals needed to begin construction in 2028. Initial work will include geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, transmission-interconnection planning and nuclear-licensing preparation; the announcement does not establish that a licence has been granted.
