AWS and Postman describe Agent Mode as an AI agent for API testing, documentation, discovery and implementation within Postman. Its architecture uses Amazon Bedrock for model choice, geographically scoped cross-Region inference and model-dependent data-retention settings.

In Postman’s own testing, tool-selection errors increased when the visible toolset grew beyond about 40; the system can select roughly 15 relevant tools from a catalog of more than 170. Actions that change application state require user approval. AWS describes Postman’s community as 40 million developers; the production implementation has no public sample repository, and the reported observations are not an independent evaluation.
