# Paraguay inflation reached 1.7% year on year in September

The Central Bank of Paraguay’s September 2026 inflation report said the consumer price index rose 0.1% during the month. That monthly rate was above the 0.1% decline recorded in September 2025. Year-on-year inflation increased to 1.7% from 1.5% in August.

Core inflation also rose 0.1% month on month in September, while its annual rate eased to 1.2%. The headline and core measures therefore posted the same monthly change but different annual rates. These are observed price changes for the report’s September reference month, not forecasts.

The Central Bank of Paraguay published monthly, annual and year-to-date inflation measures for September 2026.

Methodology: Reported monthly and annual percentages are transcribed from the BCP’s September 2026 inflation summary. Year-to-date inflation is the cumulative January–September change; the annual core rate is the year-on-year change in core CPI.
