Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Youth Development opened the National Youth Confab 2026 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre auditorium in Abuja on 2 October. The ministry described it as a forum for young delegates to discuss employment, education, skills and other policy issues.

The National Information Technology Development Agency’s director-general said artificial intelligence was being used to capture, analyse and categorise delegates’ ideas. The report described this as a support tool for participation and policy discussions, not as an announced policy decision.
