The opening of ACReSAL’s Jos workshop began the final implementation-focused consultation round for the remaining 10 of Nigeria’s 20 strategic catchments, after earlier sessions on the first 10. The plans provide a science-based framework for watersheds across 20 participating states.

Project officials called on ministries, state governments and local communities to integrate the recommendations into routine policy and budgets. State-level discussions are planned to secure policy endorsement and budget alignment before physical investments begin.
