Norway's Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) has launched an interactive dashboard on agricultural income and costs. Its data come from the Agricultural Budget Committee statistics managed by NIBIO, which has served as the committee's secretariat since its establishment in 1948; the profitability series reaches back to 1959.

The dashboard covers income trends and distribution, cost categories, detailed revenues and expenses, and recent budget-versus-account comparisons. NIBIO says purchased feed made up 26% of Norwegian agricultural costs in 2025, totaling NOK 11.6 billion. This is an annual estimate for the agricultural sector, not consumer food spending or a current market price.

### Source-reported indicators

Purchased feed represented 26% of total agricultural costs.

Methodology: Values retain the source basis. Annual feed figures are 2025 sector estimates; the October seed count uses the deposit period. Other dates identify report publication, not experiment day. Laboratory oil-holding capacity is not nutritional fat content; counts do not establish production or scale-up success.
