New Found Gold reported preliminary operating results for the quarter ended September 30 at its Hammerdown gold mine in Newfoundland on October 15. The company said it produced 4,863 ounces of gold, sold 6,035 ounces and achieved average recovery of 85%. The mine had entered commercial production on August 19.

Hammerdown and the Pine Cove mill met or exceeded key production targets during the quarter, according to the company, which described the figures as preliminary. The release also said construction of an on-site crusher and sorter was expected to be substantially complete in Q4 2026, followed by commissioning and ramp-up in Q1 2027. Those facility milestones are forward-looking expectations, not completed results.
