Mongolia became a donor to the International Development Association after parliament approved a contribution to IDA’s 21st replenishment, according to the World Bank Group on 17 October. The contribution is MNT 4.8 billion, approximately US$1.3 million as stated by the source.

Mongolia joined the World Bank Group in 1991 and received more than US$1.62 billion in development financing, including IDA support, before graduating from IDA in July 2020. IDA provides grants and concessional financing to 78 low-income countries. The announcement describes the newly approved contribution; it does not say the funds have already been transferred.
