# Microsoft launches Decision-1 model for structured decisions

Microsoft introduced Microsoft-Decision-1 on October 9 as a model that scores fixed choices for uses such as classification, routing, prioritisation and workflow control. The company says the model is a post-trained Qwen3.5-9B and returns calibrated probabilities through a structured API; access is offered through Microsoft Foundry and OpenRouter.

Microsoft reports the highest accuracy in its comparison across 36 benchmarks and nearly 150,000 questions, plus measured latency 2.5 times faster than H2O-Lightning-4B v1.1 and 35 times faster than GPT-6 Sol. These are Microsoft’s own benchmark claims. The company lists input pricing at $0.042 per million tokens and says output tokens are free.
