The bulletin was released on 21 October. The indicator covers extraction, beneficiation, smelting and refining of metallic and non-metallic minerals. The bulletin defines the index as a measure of physical production volume and says the time series use econometric methods. INEGI reported the overall production movement; this account does not conflate differing mineral-level movements with the aggregate index. ## Data ### Mexico’s mining and metallurgical production fell 0.1% in August Methodology: INEGI index measures physical production volume; August rates are seasonally adjusted comparisons. | label | value | unit | period | basis | |---|---|---|---|---| | Mining and metallurgical production, monthly | -0.1 | percent | 2026-08 | observed | | Mining and metallurgical production, year over year | -10.5 | percent | 2026-08 | observed | Sources: · Download data: [JSON](https://newsverum.com/api/v1/articles/mexico-mining-metallurgical-production-falls-august-2026/data/announcement?lang=en&format=json) · [CSV](https://newsverum.com/api/v1/articles/mexico-mining-metallurgical-production-falls-august-2026/data/announcement?lang=en&format=csv) ## Sources - [Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI)]() (Source checked: 2026-10-21; Published: 2026-10-21) --- Cite the canonical URL above.
