# Kalinga livestock output falls 55% in second quarter

Livestock output in Kalinga was estimated at 516 tonnes liveweight in the second quarter of 2026, a 55.09% fall from 1,149 tonnes in the same quarter of 2025, according to a provincial report released by the Philippine Statistics Authority on October 2.

Among four major commodities, carabao output rose from 107 tonnes to 113 tonnes. Cattle production declined from 135 tonnes to 110, hogs from 883 tonnes to 290, and goats from 24 tonnes to three. The agency says the figures are liveweight-equivalent estimates drawn from livestock surveys and supplemented by local slaughterhouse and poultry-dressing administrative records; they are not carcass weights.
