Jordan's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said on 8 October that the Rural Electrification Fund had approved lists for electricity connections to about 204 homes and sites in September. The announcement put the total cost at JOD 648,000. The figure describes approved lists, not connections confirmed as completed.

The approvals cover rural homes with limited grid access, livestock farms, artesian wells, productive and tourism projects, and public facilities. The fund also approved grid-connected solar systems for 52 homes of low-income families and people receiving support from the National Aid Fund. The ministry said applications for connections would continue under its eligibility rules.
