# Jordan's industrial production rose 3.16% in August

Jordan's Industrial Production Quantity Index rose 3.16% in August 2026 from July and 3.34% from August 2025. Petra, reporting the Department of Statistics release dated 12 October, said the index for the first eight months reached 89.45 points, up from 88.90 in the same period of 2025.

Year to date, manufacturing output increased 0.71% and electricity production 2.14%, while mining and quarrying fell 2.21%. Manufacturing represents 88.7% of the index weight, electricity 5.9% and mining 5.4%; these weights describe each sector's share of the index.
