# Jordan active insured population exceeds 1.705 million in October

Jordan’s Social Security Corporation said the number of actively insured individuals exceeded 1,705,000 during October. Petra carried the announcement on 14 October; the corporation linked the increase mainly to workers under the Additional Education system and new hires in private education.

The corporation said it uses electronic data integration, government records, establishment and employee monitoring, and field inspections to expand coverage. The figure is an active-insured count, not the size of the whole workforce or a quantified net increase over a stated comparison period.
