# Italian GDP is flat in third quarter and 0.8% higher over the year

Value added increased in services and agriculture but declined in industry. Domestic demand, including inventory changes, contributed positively, while net foreign demand contributed negatively. Istat put calendar-adjusted carry-over growth for 2026 at 0.8%. This calculation assumes that the remaining quarter stays at the latest observed GDP level; it is not a prediction of fourth-quarter growth.
