India’s defence ministry announced on 29 October that VISV-2026 would open at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on 30 October 2026. DRDO and the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies are organising the event to present domestic defence technologies and discuss international partnerships.

The programme is expected to cover aeronautical, land and naval systems, sensing and communications, missiles, microelectronics and soldier-support technologies. Representatives of defence organisations, industry, academia and the diplomatic community are expected to take part.

The announcement concerns a forthcoming showcase and discussions about cooperation. It does not announce a new export contract, confirm an order value or establish that every technology to be presented is already deployed. Potential partnerships remain distinct from signed procurement agreements.
