The laboratory search yielded about 184 kilograms of semi-prepared drugs and 582 kilograms of precursor chemicals, according to the release. Follow-up residential searches reportedly found 15.4 kilograms of finished methaqualone, about 153 kilograms of chemicals and, at another location, about 168 kilograms of precursors. Equipment was also seized.

The stated overall quantity combines materials at different stages of production and must not be described as 1,100 kilograms of finished drugs. The agency said the arrests were made under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The release is an enforcement account and does not report a court conviction or a judicial finding of guilt.
