# Work-safety programme reaches 161 coffee farmers in Indonesia’s Lampung

An ILO report published on October 9 says an occupational safety and health programme supported by the ILO and Nestlé Indonesia reached 161 coffee farmers in Tanggamus, Lampung, Indonesia. Training was delivered through a five-month Farmers’ Field School that ran from late December 2025 to mid-May 2026.

Ten local farmer-trainers who had completed the WIND programme delivered the sessions. Farmers used checklists to review safe storage of sharp tools and chemicals, protective equipment and low-cost farm improvements. The report describes practical changes, but does not present a measured reduction in injury rates.
