The ministry said six additional aircraft, including four water-dropping planes and two helicopters, plus 290 firefighters would be deployed to support the response. The statement said Amazonas requested federal support on 23 September but told the federal Respad team on 30 September, after rain helped control fire hotspots, that its field deployment was no longer needed. The ministry also said it had advised the state to seek additional resources through the national civil-defence system, but that no formal request had yet been filed. These are agency-reported figures, not an independently verified fire census. ## Data ### Fire response in Amazonas: extinguished, active and planned resources Outcomes and announced resources in the ministry statement of 9 October.
