# Hanoi Metro Line 3’s operating section carried 6.4 million passengers

> Hanoi Metro Line 3’s elevated section between Nhon and Cau Giay, opened in August 2024, carried 6.4 million passengers in its first year, averaging about 21,000 a day. The operator reported 99% punctuality.

The pilot line covers 12.5 kilometres and 12 stations, but its four-station underground section toward the central railway station remains under construction and is scheduled to open in 2027. The line includes a €125.5 million EIB loan.
