# Egypt and EU discuss de-escalation in the Red Sea

> Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed tensions in the Red Sea and Horn of Africa with EU foreign-policy chief Kaja Kallas by phone. They called for continued coordination to reduce escalation.
