Thirteen opportunities concerned rice. The ministry said its rice portfolio envisaged CFA 731.6 billion in investment and estimated annual turnover of CFA 221.2 billion at full operating scale. A flagship proposal would develop 35,000 hectares of irrigation at Kossou and Buyo, requiring CFA 355 billion. Other opportunities include farm mechanisation, seed production, storage and processing facilities.
