# Colombia cucumber wholesale prices rose in 39 of 40 markets in September

Colombia’s statistics agency DANE published its weekly SIPSA wholesale-price bulletin on October 2. Its contextual analysis says cucumber prices rose during September in 39 of the 40 markets monitored, with one of the largest increases in Cali. The city’s price per kilogram rose from 1,472 Colombian pesos in August to 2,347 pesos in September.

DANE linked the increase in Cali to the end of harvest cycles in producing areas of Valle del Cauca and hot conditions affecting crop development.
