# China retail sales rose 1.1% year on year in September

> China’s total retail sales of consumer goods reached 4.2433 trillion yuan in September 2026, up 1.1% from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics reported on 19 October. Sales excluding automobiles increased 3.9% year on year.
