Canadian Gold Resources said on October 22 that it plans to begin a bulk-sampling program at its Lac Arsenault property on Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula on October 26. After additional geological evaluation, the company revised the program from a previously announced 5,000 tonnes to an anticipated 500–1,000 tonnes. It said the final quantity will depend on geological observations and conditions encountered during extraction.

The company said its new geological team completed additional surface work and reviewed geological information, including assays from its most recent drilling program, before refining the sampling approach. The release does not publish those recent drill assays or quantify how they changed the extraction plan. It says the revised design is intended to permit more selective extraction of mineralized material and provide vein-grade information to guide future work.

The planned bulk sample is an exploration activity. In a 2025 permit announcement, Canadian Gold described the program as an exploration sample to examine grade continuity, metallurgical recovery and technical information; it said the program was not a production decision. The Oct. 22 release continues to describe the current activity as a sample program, and does not present an operating mine plan or an established production case.

Canadian Gold expects the extraction portion to take about two to three weeks. After recovery, the material is planned to be transported to the New Richmond area for crushing. The company says representative samples of the crushed material will then be collected and sent for assay to assess grade and material characteristics before shipment. Those assays are future work; they are not results in the Oct. 22 announcement.

The reduction in planned tonnage is material to how the program should be read. A smaller, selective sample may focus on particular mineralized veins and provide information about those selected materials, but its results would not automatically represent the broader property or a future mine feed. The company says the final sample amount could vary with geological observations and extraction conditions, so 500–1,000 tonnes is an anticipated range rather than a completed volume.

The release says additional surface work and the review of recent drilling results informed the update, but it does not identify specific veins, extraction locations, sample grades or a metallurgical recovery rate. It also does not state that the planned sample has already been extracted, crushed or shipped. Those distinctions keep the announced schedule separate from completed work and from any subsequent assay findings.

Canadian Gold describes itself as advancing three gold properties on the Gaspé Peninsula. The October announcement concerns Lac Arsenault alone. It identifies the project as part of a portfolio of historically explored assets, but does not provide a new mineral resource estimate for the property. Historical exploration and a planned bulk sample are not substitutes for a current resource or reserve classification.

Chief geologist Jamie Lavigne, P.Geo., reviewed and approved the technical information in the release as the qualified person. The company said it would provide further updates as the program progresses and material results become available. The data block records the former plan, the revised anticipated range and the expected duration; none of those target values is an actual quantity extracted or an assay result.

## Data

### Lac Arsenault bulk-sample program plan

Previously announced volume, revised anticipated range and expected extraction duration.

Methodology: The former 5,000-tonne volume was a planned exploration sample; the 500–1,000-tonne range and two-to-three-week duration are company expectations as of the October 22 announcement. Bounds are shown as separate values. No extraction amount or assay result is reported as completed.
