Canada listed Alberta’s proposed West Coast Oil Pipeline as a project of national interest under the Building Canada Act on October 1, according to the Major Projects Office. The proposed line would run from Bruderheim, Alberta, to a deepwater port near Delta, British Columbia, and is designed for capacity of one million barrels of Canadian crude per day.

The project remains in early development, and its precise route and features are still to be determined through further planning and engagement with Indigenous communities, stakeholders and landowners. The national-interest listing is a government designation; the page does not say that the pipeline has been approved for construction or is operating.
