Hockey Canada is to receive C$50,000 for the 2026 Para Cup in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, scheduled for 29 November–5 December. Those two competitions were still upcoming when the funding was announced. The allocations fall within the Sport Canada Hosting Program, which supports international competitions such as world championships, world cups and Olympic and Paralympic qualification events. The government places this support within its broader C$1-billion sport investment. That wider figure is programme context, not the amount awarded to the four events listed in this release. ## Data ### Source publication Publication of the official announcement on 30 October 2026.
