# Astorga-region melon area doubled between 2022 and 2025

Regional papaya output also rose from 151 to 401 tonnes over the period. IDR-Paraná scheduled an October 14 technical meeting on melon, watermelon, papaya and agroforestry practices; these historical regional figures are neither a 2026 harvest forecast nor national totals.
