The Antigua and Barbuda Statistics Division reported that the all-items CPI rose 1.1% in September 2026 from August and 7.0% from a year earlier. The annual increase was 12.6% for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, 12.0% for transport and 23.1% for communication. Food and non-alcoholic beverages declined 1.0% year on year.

The monthly energy index rose 4.6%; the report linked this to pump gasoline moving from $14.50 to $16.50. The agency’s methodology says CPI weights are based on a 2006 household expenditure survey, with January 2019 as the base period. The release webpage heading mistakenly says ‘July’, but its text and linked original report identify September 2026 and the 2 October release date.
