> The proposed total combines a conditional agreement for about 750 hectares with 1,150 hectares staked; historical uranium results are unverified.

Anteros Metals said on October 23 it had entered an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in approximately 750 hectares comprising the Grand Lake Property in western Newfoundland and Labrador. It also said it had staked another 1,150 hectares, producing a proposed total land position of about 1,900 hectares in the Deer Lake Basin. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory requirements, so the 750-hectare component was not presented as a completed transfer.

The issuer described Grand Lake as a property in a basin with documented uranium occurrences and bituminous sedimentary rocks. It cited an historical chip sample result exceeding 1,000 parts per million uranium from a 10-centimetre calcareous, petroliferous limestone horizon near Island Pond Brook. That result came from a 1980 report by previous operators. Anteros said the underlying sampling and analytical results had not been independently verified and were included for geological context only; the occurrence’s precise position relative to current claims also remained to be confirmed.

Anteros set out a conceptual exploration idea linking radioactive rocks and sedimentary structures to possible natural hydrogen or helium generation, migration and trapping. The issuer explicitly said no natural hydrogen or helium accumulation had been demonstrated at Grand Lake. The concept requires field investigation and geochemical testing. A reported hydrogen or helium result from a separate project elsewhere in the basin is not evidence for this property, and the release itself cautioned that separate-property data may not be indicative of Grand Lake.

The land-position figure combines two different statuses: about 750 hectares covered by an acquisition agreement and 1,150 hectares staked by Anteros. The 1,900-hectare total is therefore the company’s proposed project position, not a confirmed owned area. The stated consideration for the proposed acquisition is 500,000 common shares, with no cash consideration or underlying net-smelter-return royalty, subject to the agreement and closing.

The same release included updates on two other projects. At Havens Steady in Newfoundland, the company said its 2026 channel-sampling program had been completed and samples submitted to an independent laboratory; analytical results were still pending. At Seagull in Ontario, Anteros and partner Rift Minerals were evaluating an inversion of passive seismic data to refine an interpretation of a deep low-velocity anomaly. The company said such a geophysical response alone does not establish mineralization or a gas accumulation.

The company’s cited background includes a 1980 Newfoundland geological, geochemical and geophysical assessment report for Reid Lot 220 and a 1994 Memorial University study correlating degraded oils with Rocky Brook source rocks. Anteros linked those published studies to its basin-scale exploration concept, but they do not establish a gas accumulation on its claims. The issuer’s immediate announced work remains field investigation and geochemical testing to assess whether the proposed geological conditions occur within the Grand Lake project area.
