The state environment commissioner said the seedlings were intended to support access to an economic crop and encourage tree planting amid flooding and erosion concerns. Beneficiaries were selected from 21 local government areas, and partners said they had designed a structure to monitor the seedlings. The source gives inconsistent farmer totals—over 500 in one passage and 500 later—so the exact number is unclear.

## Data

### Anambra palm-seedling distribution

State report dated 12 October describes distribution of seedlings and farm implements.

Methodology: FMINO reports 2,000 seedlings and more than 500 farmers; because a later passage says 500 farmers, the farmer count is treated as a lower bound rather than an exact total.
