# FAO startet IRMA-Plattform für Bewässerungsplanung

Die FAO startete die Plattform der Initiative zur Kartierung von Bewässerungspotenzial und -bedarf (IRMA) am 13. Oktober während des Rome Water Dialogue. Die globale Plattform kartiert bestehende bewässerte und regenabhängige Ackerflächen und ordnet Gebiete nach ihrer biophysikalischen Eignung für Bewässerung ein.

IRMA bündelt Daten, Indikatoren und Analysen in einer Oberfläche, um Bewässerungsinvestitionen räumlich zu vergleichen und zu priorisieren. Die globale Plattform ist offen zugänglich; nationale Versionen entstehen mit Partnern vor Ort und berücksichtigen deren Prioritäten und Bedingungen.
