عرض الوزير المسؤول عن المحاصيل الغذائية في ساحل العاج 16 فرصة استثمارية خلال مائدة مستديرة شاركت فيها 24 شركة إيطالية في 18 أكتوبر. وتتعلق 13 فرصة بالأرز. وقالت الوزارة إن محفظة الأرز تتضمن استثمارات متوقعة بقيمة 731.6 مليار فرنك أفريقي، مع إيرادات سنوية مقدرة بنحو 221.2 ملياراً عند بلوغ التشغيل الكامل.

ومن أبرز المقترحات تطوير 35 ألف هكتار للري في كوسو وبويو بتكلفة 355 مليار فرنك أفريقي. وتشمل الفرص الأخرى الميكنة الزراعية والبذور والتخزين والتصنيع. هذه تقديرات لمحفظة مقترحة؛ ولا يقول البيان إن التمويل حُسم أو أن البناء بدأ.
